01 — Where is the most fun?
People ask where Hong Kong is most fun. I cannot really say. What I remember is who held whose hand. On a brick pedestrian street, one tall and one small walking forward — you do not need to look back to know the other is there.
02 — An old couple, slow
An older couple walks ahead, slow, not rushing. Hong Kong is fast, but some people keep their own pace. Watching their backs, the city feels gentler than its reputation.
03 — People in the photos
Flip through the photos from this stretch and people are the subject. The scenery returns every year. The people you share it with do not always. By the end of the album, what you remember is faces.
04 — A child's Hong Kong
With a child, Hong Kong is a big playground. Under the overpass: a kids' park, red slide, purple mascot — laughter louder than the slide. Adults watch the city. Kids watch the fun.
05 — Shiba and the whole family
A giant Shiba sprawled asleep, the whole family laughing around it. The loosest moments on a trip often have nothing to do with attractions — the fun stuff is frequently off the plan.
06 — Family album
In another set, the whole family raises hands for a group shot — sea and towers behind. Behind every group photo is a promise to come again together. Photos age. The promise does not.
07 — Closing
Whether a city is fun really depends on who you are with. With kids, Hong Kong is a playground. With family, it is the park near home. Next time, bring the people who matter.
