Three scenes from one terrace, all under the same midday-blue sky. It opens on a single palm above two red umbrellas, the surf breaking on the rocks below. Then a concrete stairway steps down toward a rocky shore, where the waves keep arriving whether anyone is watching or not. And it closes on the restaurant terrace: a table set under an orange umbrella — plates, blue glasses, one small vase of red flowers — with the lawn rolling out to a low wall and the whole sea spread beyond it. The table is ready. Nobody has sat down yet.
