EP 02 · Los Cabos, With Love
A Whole Lagoon of Pools
Seen from above, the pools run together like a lagoon — palms growing straight out of the water, white umbrellas along the edges, and the Pacific waiting behind it all.

From the terrace above, the pools stop being pools: they run together like a lagoon, palms growing straight out of the water, white umbrellas along the edges, and behind everything, the Pacific. The camera barely moves. Neither does the afternoon.
The song is “No Volveré” by the Gipsy Kings. A Gipsy Kings love song moves the way this scene does — slow, warm, unhurried, the melody carried over the water like something the breeze brought in. The lagoon never rushes, and neither does this song; that is exactly why it is the one under this scene.
