A Palm Print in the Cabo Sand

A palm print pressed into Cabo beach sand, a thin golden stream of sand pouring into the hollow of the hand in low sunlight

On a beach in Los Cabos, in the last gold of the day, I stopped over a palm print pressed into the sand — and watched sand pour slowly in, grain by grain, until the hollow of the hand was full. A beach forgets every print by morning. This one has stayed with me, because of the old promise it carries. The film is below; the story is in the episode.
